Presented by CA Greenworks:
The G.W. Carver Environmental Legacy Awards are in celebration of Black History Month as we recognize leaders within our community. We established this award 5 years ago, in honor of Dr. George Washington Carver, an inventor, scientist, educator, and conservationist. With this award we are able to recognize his accomplishments around conservation as the first African American pioneer of environmental advocacy. We will be honoring four community leaders at the Staples Center and it will be broadcast on television during half-time of the Clippers game.
