There is no single path to decarbonization, because so many pieces of the economy create a carbon footprint. The Goods Movement Ecosystem (GME) is an industry cluster ecosystem comprised of multiple industry sectors that produce and move essential goods across the United States. Critical GME industries span the ocean and land and include transportation, manufacturing, construction and trade, to name only a few.
Transportation corridors throughout Los Angeles County comprise one of the most essential arteries of our nation’s infrastructure and supply chain.
This Future Forum will explore decarbonization in the goods movement ecosystem, how investments into clean technology will impact economics, health and the environment, current and future projects being developed, and opportunities for a future workforce.
