LA+Acumen is back and looking to bring the Los Angeles impact community together to find new ways of collaborating and creating positive social impact. We will be hosting a participatory workshop on generating social enterprises with the renowned global design strategy firm, verynice, called Models of Impact. In this event, Wine + Models of Impact, you’ll participate in a game-based experiential methodology that creates a space for spontaneous discovery in order to challenge ideas and help participants think BIG. By exploring a range of ideas in an unbiased manner, you’ll begin to understand the edges of your opportunity for impact.
The workshop will explore the following themes:
- How can products and services contribute to the development of sustainable impact in our communities?
- What models exist that can drive impact and social change beyond traditional grants and private donations?
- What role does philanthropy play now that consumers are more aware of the social impact behind their consumption?
This will be an introductory event to those curious about social enterprise innovation, design thinking principles and will be a great kickstart for those interested in +Acumen’s Human-Centered Design course. Join us for an evening of ideation and libations!
