ICO Project Lead at Holo Host
Jean Russell is project lead for the Holo ICO. She has been championing thrivability for a decade with several published books on the topic, the most recent of which describes organizational design and culture. She is bringing her skills and vision to the Holochain project where living system principles are being deeply woven into the design of a distributed computing crypto-platform.
Holochains support decentralized data storage for distributed applications. A holochain functions very much like a blockchain without bottlenecks when it comes to enforcing validation rules, but is designed to be fully distributed through sharding so each node only needs to hold a portion of the data instead of a full global ledger.
Holo Host: Holo is the first step toward a decentralized hosting ecosystem.
Holo enables scalable, distributed Internet applications and data hosting infrastructures. This allows users to become consenting participants in applications that become communities unto themselves. Built on Holochain, Holo’s energy-efficient hosting enables a new class of hosting where individuals are free to buck the $200B cloud hosting industry using simple consumer-grade devices. What’s more, hosting on Holo provides incentives (secure cryptocurrency) that reenergizes its user community.
