SEASONS, a new film by Jacques Perrin, featuring Q&A’s with Andy Lipkis (TreePeople), at select Laemmle Theatres
The Laemmle Theatres presents a special series of screenings of the critically acclaimed new film SEASONS followed by in person Q&A’s with Andy Lipkis, founder and president of TreePeople, at selected Laemmle Theaters (December 6 – Monica Film Center, Santa Monica, December 7 – NoHo 7, North Hollywood and December 8 – Laemmle’s Playhouse 7, Pasadena) after the 7:30 pm showings. A portion of the ticket sale proceeds will benefit TreePeople.
SEASONS, with its stunning footage of animals in the wild, is a majestic, awe-inspiring film that will compel us to ask – how can we rediscover the creatures on our doorstep ad see characters in these animals that are as extraordinary as those that fly through the skies or swim through the oceans?
After traveling the world alongside migrating birds and diving the oceans with whales and manta rays, Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud return to more familiar ground, the lush green forests and megafauna that emerged across Europe following the last Ice Age. Winter had gone on for 80,000 years when, in a relatively short period of time the ice retreated, the landscape metamorphosed, the cycle of seasons was established and the beasts occupied their new kingdom. It was only later than man arrived to share this habitat, first tentatively as migratory hunter/gatherers, then making inroads in the forest as settled agriculturalists, and later more dramatically via industry and warfare.
