Global waste generation is increasing faster than any other environmental pollutant, based on research by the World Bank. Waste management is also linked to a number of other global challenges: health, climate change, poverty reduction, food and resource security, sustainable production, and consumption. Therefore, action in this sector can have a much greater impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) than many current emission inventories suggest. USGBC-LA is deeply committed and taking action towards waste reduction and circular economy principles for green buildings.
Please join us for a unique workshop led by All About Waste founder Denise Braun. Denise will unpack the many strategies and opportunities for buildings to become TRUE zero-waste!
